Painting a Playoff Picture: Week 15
No doubt the playoff scenario is not as rosy as it once was for the Atlanta Falcons. But, at least the road to the postseason is clearly marked and gives fans a rooting interest.
Here’s one look that gets the Falcons in thanks to the Yahoo Playoff Scenario Generator:

Your Week 14 Television Maps
I have a bad habit when it comes to these NFL television distribution maps.
Each week, like a child on Christmas morning, I open the links and find the games televised in Atlanta for the coming weekend. At this point I remember it doesn’t matter what games are before/after or opposite the Falcons game.
I’m working. There’s [...]

Your Week 13 Television Breakdown…
When Michael Vick first signed with the Philadelphia Eagles I thought Sunday’s game could be flexed to the prime time spot on NBC. As both Atlanta and Philadelphia moved toward top rivals in the NFC Wild Card chase, I was almost sure it would happen.
Shows what I know. Minnesota and Arizona stays locked in on [...]

Birdseed: December 1, 2009
Even with all the good feelings and playoff appearance, I can’t say a game in 2008 had the same immediate impact Sunday’s game against the Eagles will have on the Falcons hopes.
Maybe it’s a case of proximity and point of view.
I guess if you were to pick, you’d select one of the games in November [...]

Maps and Notes for Week 12 Television
Two things are certain on Thanksgiving:
I’ll fall into a food comma at some point because of Mrs. J. Mike’s delicious cooking.
The Lions will play (and probably lose).
Before I turn on the office television to watch a little Thanksgiving pigskin and, later, go home to a feast, I’ll detail a little about the weekend television schedule.
(It’s [...]

Week 7 Television Notes
Welcome back to regional television coverage, Falcons fans. How did that Sunday Night Football game treat you?
After a prime time win over the Chicago Bears the Falcons begin a two-game stretch that features a near-national audience and a world stage on Monday Night Football. Looking ahead to the next home game against the Washington Redskins, [...]

Sunday Moves Include Big News
The Falcons agreed to terms with veteran defensive back Brian Williams Sunday evening, adding a versatile player that is familiar with Head Coach Mike Smith’s style of defense.
Williams played under Smith — then the Jaguars’ defensive coordinator — in 2006 and 2007, starting 29 games at cornerback. The eight-year veteran has 93 starts (107 games), [...]

Ferguson Practices with Falcons
If you’re looking for Mr. Ferguson, he’s No. 81.
The Falcons signed the former Packers and Vikings receiver Thursday afternoon, filling a hole created by Harry Douglas’ season-ending knee injury.
“We made a roster move this morning and we added Robert Ferguson and he was able to get out and participate in practice,” Head Coach Mike Smith [...]

Report: Falcons Sign Ferguson
According to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Falcons signed veteran wide receiver Robert Ferguson on Thursday afternoon.
Ferguson spent six of his eight NFL seasons in Green Bay, where he was a second-round draft pick. In his career with the Packers and Vikings, the Texas A&M product has recorded 151 catches for 1,993 yards [...]
