2010 Mock Draft: Version 5.0
Weeks of speculation, research and gut reactions have come down to this… Mock Draft Version 5.0.
Let me first remind all of you loyal and supportive readers that I make these selections based on my six-plus years in the NFL and knowledge of the Falcons as a reporter — not unlike other mock drafts you see [...]

2010 Mock Draft: Version 4.0
Let’s trade the traditional blog start for a discussion on, well, trades.
The NFL Draft is little more than one week away and we’ve seen no exchanges of first-round picks or reputable discussion of the same.
John Kincade of 680 the Fan brings up an interesting topic when it comes to what the Falcons may do with the No. 19 pick. [...]

2010 Mock Draft: Version 3.0
It’s time to start looking at some of the more unique draft scenarios.
Keep in mind the Falcons pick changes each week to introduce an option no one thought of (doubt it) or generate some healthy pre-draft discussion.
In this mock draft (Version 3.0) we look at the Falcons in a position to draft for the future, [...]

2010 Mock Draft: Version 2.0
I’ve made further adjustments in the second attempt at a mock draft this year, forming opinions off what I’m reading in various mocks from around the Internet while keeping an eye on the plethora of players the Falcons may consider at No. 19.
Again, keep in mind the Falcons pick changes each [...]

2010 Mock Draft: Version 1.0
In 2009 I thought it a good idea to come up with a mock NFL Draft.
Nothing crazy… Just my thoughts on the first round with particular attention paid to the Falcons and players that may be available and fit a need. For that reason, the look changed from week to week as I introduced more [...]

The Mock Draft: Version 7.0
The NFL Draft is just more than two days away and speculation is in high gear.
When I first had the idea to do a series of mock drafts leading up to this epic offseason event I was ignorant to the various opinions held by the Falcons fan base.
You all opened my eyes to more possibilities [...]

The Mock Draft: Version 6.0
We’ve reached a turning point with the Mock Draft. It is, in many ways, the point of no return.
Six weeks ago I started presenting you with various scenarios for the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft, including a lengthy list of possible selections for the Falcons with the No. 24 pick.
At times I’ve felt [...]

The Mock Draft: Version 5.0
I should have known the moment I started getting cocky something would come along and smack me back into reality. Just when I thought I was inspiring some discussion and throwing out wild, though plausible, scenarios NFL news and a few wise comments mixed things up.
Now I’m starting to realize the stress and scrutiny that [...]

The Mock Draft: Version 4.0
It’s taken me four weeks and several mistakes but I think I’m getting the hang of this whole mock draftin’ thing.
Sure, it’s not perfect. Is this how the draft will pan out for the Falcons or the rest of the NFL? Probably not pick-by-pick. But I think these scenarios are leading to interesting conversations.
Like Homer [...]
