Your Questions… Answered
Think the Dunta Robinson signing just cleared up some of the mystery concerning the Falcons secondary in 2010?
Think again.
Though cliche, picking up Robinson opens several options for the Falcons in the upcoming NFL Draft and allows the team to really take advantage of its strengths — younger players who got valuable playing time in 2009.
The [...]

Birdseed: March 11, 2010
One day, I’m going to convince people my life as a team employee is often more hectic in the offseason.
Contrary to popular belief, team bloggers don’t keep teacher hours and take an abundance of time off from March to July. Actually, this is a time players and staff alike catch up on all the things [...]

Falcons Retain Cornerback Grimes
The Falcons announced Tuesday cornerback Brent Grimes, who started eight games in 2009, signed an exclusive rights contract.
Atlanta also released wide receiver James Swinton.
Grimes led the team with six interceptions last year, his second accrued season in the league. His status as an exclusive rights free agent keeps him from talking to other teams if [...]

Quick Chat with Dunta Robinson
When I met Dunta Robinson in 2004 he was a bright-eyed, eager-to-learn rookie in the NFL. I was a bright-eyed, eager-to-learn intern of the Houston Texans.
Adjectives were all we had in common.
I can’t cover a turtle in quick sand. Robinson has made quite a living playing against opposing wide receivers including Pro Bowlers Marvin Harrison [...]

Welcome Home, Mr. Robinson!
Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name.
New Falcons cornerback Dunta (pronounced Dontay) Robinson grew up in Athens and played at Clarke Central High School. The unusual spelling of his name often leads to misspeaking. Now back within a comfortable drive from his family and friends, he’s sure to have plenty of supporters [...]

Raw Video: Robinson Photo Opp
As is custom for any player joining a new team, Dunta Robinson took time after his opening remarks to the city of Atlanta Monday evening to pose for a few photos.
Robinson, Falcons Owner and CEO Arthur Blank, General Manager Thomas Dimitroff and Head Coach Mike Smith used a helmet as a prop instead of a [...]

Long Snapper Void Refilled
The Falcons ended the 2009 season with a long snapper on injured reserve and a long snapper on the active roster. Thursday afternoon one of those players, Mike Schneck, announced his retirement. The other, in-season replacement Joe Zelenka, became an unrestricted free agent early Friday morning.
That left Atlanta with a void to fill at a [...]
