IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A BIG NAME W/R LIKE T.O.
I wouldn’t hold my breathe on that request Anthony. They won’t look his way. I think he could help but they’ll really be worried about his attitude and antics in the lockerroom
Anthony, we’ve got a Big Name WR, his name is Roddy White. … Mike Smith football is to run the ball then run it some more. I just hope that Michael Turner doesn’t get nicked up b/c Jerious has proven he can’t take the pounding that comes with being a featured back. … Instead of the drama that T.O. brings, why not try to land Brian Westbrook? He’s a Big Play receiver out of the backfield and a very shifty runner. He’s 30, which is kind of old, but I’m sure his experience would make up for anything he’s lost in speed. Move Snelling to the second string fullback and use Brian and Jason on third downs. … It could work!
Kestrel just to remind you Westbrook can’t take the pounding either. Every year he has been hurt since his rookie year. NEVER play in all 16 games in his career.
i’m all for T.O. in Atlanta! He didn’t start any drama in Buffalo last year, so why not give him a shot? I think he knows that his career is windin down and the offers aren’t comin around, so I think that’s made him mature as a person and a player as well..
We dont need no stinking TO.
WR Meiers from our draft looks promising. Guys chill out, this guy has hands.
I can’t understand the reluctance in John Henderson. Our biggest weakness is applying pressure to the QB. John Abraham is double and triple teamed most times. Biermann is emerging as a pretty good pass rusher but we have no push in the middle to stop the run or apply QB pressure. We have young unproven DTs. If nothing else Henderson would provide leadership and an aggressive attitude. I honestly believe we are a good DT away from a SuperBowl, as long as Michael Turner produces.
guys gonna be 37 in december, and get real. ryan wolfe and kerry mier are two names to remember. one of these two guys will emerge as the number two option.
From one falconfan to another JUNE I AGREE WITH YOU GET T.O. ALL I SEE IS TD’S!T,O. IS SO GOOD HE CAN PLAY DEFFENSE YES BOTH WAYS DE,LB,FS,SPECIALTEAMS THIS WAY T.O. WON’T GET BOARD HE WILL BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME WINNING IS THE KEY!
I’am all for Westbrook, Will be a great piece to our backfield.
We got rid of our cancer, we don’t need another. TO is a team killer.Great athelete- but can’t zip it up!
I think the reason T.O. doesn’t have a job anywhere is because he’s 36 and his skills are declining. We do not need an old prima dona on the team. You guys are retarded for even suggesting that!
GIVE T.O A ONE YEAR CONTRACT SO WE CAN WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!!
just focus on defense..offense will take care of themselves…If we have a strong secondary. and a few mind-reading line backers. we will be in the NFC championship game for sure.
Our area of need is defensive end!! We have defensive tackles, we have wide receivers. We can get a quality defensive end in Marcus Spears being shopped by the Cowboys. He may not be a world beater but he is an upgrade and we can get him for cheap. There are not enough offensive possessions to keep TO happy that his why he is still on the street!
We need big John please Mackay and TD!! We need that pass rush.
reading some of these posts on here…I am real glad some of these people are not GM or head coaches….Westbrook…he will be a great asset to our backfield……that worn out over the hill accident prone running back who is one concussion away from a wheel chair will be an asset to our back feild…GIVE ME A BREAK…dont even get me started on T.O. dont you people understand we are looking for the future…we are looking for players that will still be playing football ten years down the road…we want to be contenders for years to come not just for one year…you guys need to be patient…a superbowl caliber team isnt formed over night…If we were going out to find a vetern WR would u think they would have went after Brandon Marshall he is ten times better than T.O. I believe Ladamion Thomas is 10 times better than Westbrook….what we really need is some WR (not T.O.) to step up and help Rodey White out take some pressure off of him…Jenkins hasnt proven that yet…and Finneran is getting old…I believe we should have traded up and gotten Dez Bryant…or even tried to get Brandon Marshall…or even tried to get Holmes…we have had alot of injuries on def last year and the couple of years before…if they stay healthy I believe we have an awsome def. We need recievers…cause all last year Our recivers were covered all the time even White cause he gets double teamed…we need someone to step up and be that second reviever to keep White from being doubled teamed every down…need them to get opened if they are covered one on one
I totally agree with the need for another receiver to help the offense, one of the rookies should beat out jenkins I mean how hard could it be. with our slot man harry douglas coming back we would have a potent pass attack with #2 receiver stepping up.
JUST BEAT THE saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO FALCONS
T.O. is a better receiver than Finnerman.
He will upgrade our offense.
Cyderjack; I agree with you on this one point – I’m glad that you’re not the GM or Head Coach. … Talking about trading for Brandon Marshall (traded because of his disruptive attitude) and Santonio Holmes (traded because of his attitude) or signing LaDamion Thomas (did you mean Tomlinson?) is like talking about drafting DE Brandon Graham after he was off the board. … At least all the FANS here were talking about players that were (and still are) available. … What’s next, you want the Falcons to hire Bill Walsh as Head Coach?
I Think Brandon Marshall would’ve bee na great addition to the team..is a a big, strong receiver and a HUGE play maker. Roddy White cant do it himself. We should have brought in Julius Peppers to get some heat off of John Abraham and Brandon Marshall to get some heat off of RW…but, like all my favorite sports teams, Atlanta had a Grade C draft, and a horrible off season.
what about kevin curtis a great slot WR and he got good hands and great speed? and maybe a vet Center for a year contract to help coach up the rooks? maybe kevin Mawae and give you better chance at a real run deep in the playoffs or if we lucky a Championship run!!!
I agree wit cyberjack except for trading up for deZ bryant when he was picked 5 slots after us. But other than that he’s right. Remember fellow fans t.o. drops more passes than mike jenks
Any of you guys who don’t think we need TO to get to win the Super Bowl don’t know football! HOW ARE WE GOING TO KEEP THE DOUBLE TEAM OFF RODDY WHITE? PLEASE TELL ME!!! None of the current receivers or rookies can do it! Jenkins can’t beat anyone one on one! Plus don’t you remember all the drives Jenkins killed by dropping the rock or failing to go get it in traffic? ARE YOU REALLY WATCHING THE GAMES OR JUST DRINKING BEER? The best defense is a good offense that keeps the defense off the field.
What about Williams from Dallas? He may be looking for a home here soon. A little pricey, but may be worth renegotiating his salary. I think he would be pretty good with a fresh start. He and Romo just don’t seem to click.
Williams hasn’t clicked anywhere with any quarterback. He is a pure draft bust. Even Jenkins is better.
We don’t need or want TO, hes too old, his production in Buffalo was barely zero, couldnt catch a cold and gives up on plays too easy.
Dave, White is our deep threat, he draws the double teams so we can get others open, we don’t need a flashy deep threat we need a possession reciever, we should have drafted Jordan Shipley in the 3rd when we could.
I like Marcus’ call of Kevin Curtis, between Jenkins, him and Gonzo we’d have players that can make the short catches to get us first downs, White and Douglas can stretch the field.
