That’s Sure Nice of Saints Fans…

Image — and, well, pretty much the whole blog post — courtesy of The Falcoholic. Thought it appropriate and nice for Saints fans, though informally, to issue such a decree. Perhaps it has to do with the Bucs beating the Saints in Week 16 and the aspect of revenge by proxy?

Gotta love those Saints fans. They’ve seriously earned themselves a place in our heart in at the Falcoholic. The boys on Canal Street Chronicles have always been dapper, but their mature well-wishing, while a tad bit self-serving I admit, is refreshing and very welcome as we, the Atlanta Falcons fanbase, keep our eyes fixed on that one looming goal.

Surely the Falcons will not let TB beat them. I sure hope not./
I truely believe the Falcons are only a few players away from the playoffs and super bowl in the near future. Just think, would we be in the playoffs if we would have had a more consistent kicker this season?

Go Falcons, if we only would have had a more consistent kicker earlier in the year we may be in the playoffs!

The Bucs game will be a great football game to watch. Both teams have decent run defenses, except that Tampa has a hot running back in Cadillac Williams, who is light years better than our “Snellwood” combination.
The Bucs have the 11th best pass defense in the league versus our 28th rating.
We have the 13th best passing offense versus their 25th rated passing offense. To me it looks very tough for the Falcons to win in Tampa. We have to pass to win and they have to run. I would rather be in their shoes, if I was playing in this game. A good running game sets up a few play action throws down the field. For us to win, Matt Ryan has to come through and Roddy White has to have another monster game. Watch for TB to double team Roddy most of the game, they’re not rated 11th in the league in pass defense for nothing. Prediction, 16-13 Bucs. Falcons close season at 8-8, just like I predicted.

Tough game coming up. Never know which team of either of the teams are gonna show. Hope Falcons don’t play down because of worse bucs team as they do sometime. Go FALCONS. Back To Back !!!

Hell with the Saints,We don’t need their enthusiam,Saint’s are still the Aint’s in my book. They can easily be 10-6 after barely beating the worst teams in the league in OT.They don’t deserve that much credit. If it wasn’t for Elam you’d coming to the Dome in the first round.

Dave give it up. Your prediction is wrong all day and twice on Sunday. Atlanta wins hands down and Tampa plays for a better draft pick. The Saints aren’t as good as their record and we are headed in the right direction. Go Falcons beat them Buccaneers!

Can someone tell me how 88 isn’t in the probowl? Any way kushion I think your right the leaping Grimes is obviously better. I know Smith isn’t into knee jerk reactions when it comes to starting changes but if we have learned anything this year it may be that a starting job may take a lot longer to obtain. We should have made serious adjustments in our secondary shortly after the start of the season and letting the Elam thing drag on was a bit rediculous. I would love to see a little more aggression when dealing with non productive players. We are a good team we are going to be a great team with a few more changes.

Dave, our defense has played out of their minds the past two weeks. The Jets had a hot Thomas Jones and the Bills had the tandem of Jackson/Lynch, all of which made no noise against our D. The emergence of Chris Owens has been a blessing and has helped the passing defense out a ton.

TB lost Sammy Stroughter and Earnest Graham to IR, two of their key offensive players, and we’ve been without Dahl/Houston anyway, so we’re already ready.

I just don’t think your prediction will come to pass. 11th in the league or not, that number could be mystified by the fact that teams could have run all over them to beat them, thus lowering the opponent’s passing yardage needed, thus inflating a stat that may or may not be accurate. This team has come too far to lose now. You could see it in the way they battled back against the Jets and destroyed the Bills. The Saints, while an impressive defeat by the Bucs, have been asking to break down for weeks now. If we score fast and early, we have a real chance of running away with this one.

Zippo, I appreciate your th0ughtful response. Reasonable people can disagree reasonably. Check Cadillac Williams’ stats against the Falcons, he kills us.

I don’t agree with your logic, but that’s ok, there’s a reason they play the games…..

As for Chris, do us all a favor and provide whatever logic your pea brain can conjure up to support your position. Or at least an intelligently humorous comeback other than “You’re a moron”. Oops, I’m sorry….. I’m asking for the impossible, a mutually exclusive endeavor….. Chris and an intelligently humorous comeback. Sorry man, but you’re just not very smart.

Getting a bit chippy in here. I don’t think anyone will be able to prognosticate this one folks but one thing is sure it’s gonna be a nasty one. Last game for both teams a lot of pride and some sure to be balls to the walls play calling. I’m so ready. Go Falcons!!!

we will prevail, and I think we need another reciever to step up and help Roddy White out, or maybe get one in a free agent signing, and get some players to stay healthier, seems like the past couple of years we have been plequed with injuries, I love our team and look forward to Sunday as we make history, and looking forward to next year, I have waited sooooo long for a Falcon team I enjoy watching, a few more key players and we will be back in the SuperBowl, hopefully it will be Denver love to get revenge…ha ha ha

Listen up all you supposed Falcons fans I am about tired of the sorry, low-down turncoat fair weather fans in Atlanta. I really noticed it at the Eagles game here at the dome and all the people who were like yeah Vick’s back. WHO freakin cared, he was playing for the OTHER team.!! HELLO!!! Then the by god NFL underdog posterchild Saints come to town and we let them take over OUR dome. What the hell is going on?!? I think as a team and as a city we need to wake up next year and kick some tail and forget their names!! We need to stand behind OUR team and cheer them on. We need to go to their cities and raise some hell and be overly anoying to their fans!! That’s right people it’s time to stand up and show those other teams that Atlanta will not go quietly into the night!!!! So get up people and be proud to be a Falcon fan!!
