According to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Falcons signed veteran wide receiver Robert Ferguson on Thursday afternoon.
Ferguson spent six of his eight NFL seasons in Green Bay, where he was a second-round draft pick. In his career with the Packers and Vikings, the Texas A&M product has recorded 151 catches for 1,993 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Should any news about player signings — or workouts — become official, it will be reported on AtlantaFalcons.com.
The report is in line with the recent news of a season-ending injury to wide receiver Harry Douglas. The team is two receivers down thus far in training camp with the injury and the holdout of Pro Bowl receiver Roddy White.

oh no !!!!!
this mr. ferguson is always and often injured he is of no help to the falcons infact he is a burden >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
i told you all that there were 3 wide outs working for the falcons this morning and this was coming …………..
hey j mike please we need ur take on signing of Robert Ferguson
First 7 – 8 yrs he was a decent slot receiver…avg yards is 13.2 between 400-500 a yr. He’s built like Jenkins so he can fight for the ball ( 6′1, 219lbs ). Can’t really find any notes on the guy so far though. Not sure how fast he is.
Seriously, we couldn’t get anyone else but him..not to be a hater but expected someone else…
not only this folks we also did loose safety william moore to a knee injury for a month today another bad news………………
ike hilliard also worked out for the falcons this morning i think he would have been a better fit for us than ferguson……………..
why in the world would we get him go get mavin
i think that the falcons need take it esy on the darn practice field beacuse loosing people like this will surely put them out of any contention…….. for the title
yea im with yea i would rather have ike instead of him but good for signing someone
first tese comes tommorow night at brrokwood high school when we have the 1st scrimmage god bless the falcons…………….
@tre
hey tre for ur info marvin worked out for the raven today…….
ferguson had to do something right on the field today……he might surprise every1 and bring it to the games, and the falcons do need to take it easy on the darn practice field……………@falcon # 1

PLEASE RODDY COME BACK
MR.BLANK PLEASE GIVE RODDY HIS MONEY 9MIL A YEAR HE HAS EARN IT.
Roddy White showed that hes worth 9mil he could be one of the franchize players along with Ryan and Turner
I like Roddy alot, but requesting pay comparable to Larry Fitzgerald is a little toooooo much. Roddy is up and coming and in a few years he may get to that level of consistency and clutch performance. Just my opinion.
I think the team will benefit from Ferguson. When he is healthy, he plays a great game. Good call Coach>>>>>>>>>>>>>@playball
im not even gonna get happy we just gonna release him 3 days later like we did DICKY LYONS
they didnt even give dicky a chance !
Ferg is a beast!!! give him a shot..everyone wants to talk down wen u havent even watched him in action. trust me, this is a great pick up for ATL.
He is a beast!!!!! He will last longer than dicky. He has size for blocking and speed for running. The Falcons can use him in different areas on the field, but I would like to see him shine as a wr.All these moves the coaches are making will take the team further than last year.@Jboy
DJ Shockley might ne an interesting try at receiver. If he can catch, DJ is quick and elusive plus it adss the wrinkle of having two QBs on the field at same time and it allows Chris Redman to remain as back-up with DJ as the emergency QB.
