It’s in the Game

In an earlier post I embedded video of NFC South gameplay from Madden 2010.  A few days later an email from EA Sports found its way into my inbox with directions to download more than a dozen screen shots from the Xbox360, Playstation 3 and Wii versions of the iconic game.

Christmas? In July? Seems its more than a retail slogan.

The graphics — as always — look solid and I notice a slight improvement in the positioning of players and the tiny details noticeable to a rabid football fan.

The Wii images? I may feel differently if I had a Wii, but I’ll take the real-life feel over the cartoon look. Regardless, we’ve come a long way from Tecmo Super Bowl.

Now, when will the advance copy find its way to Flowery Branch? It’s gotta be here somewhere…

    They seriously need to fixed the squished logos on the sleeve…but then again, I’m just picky. Logo scaling on the helmets is better though…and there’s also Matt Ryan’s famous white UnderArmor sleeves. Oh, and refs and chain crews are a welcome addition; you know, for that whole “realism” thing.

    I’ve tired myself of the gameplay on these system and went for a more realistic version of football, even got my on Turner at Running Back. Check it out;

    yet another year of disappointment from madden…I want the PC version back :(

    oh well stuck with madden 08 forever I guess :D
