Making Plans for Training Camp?

June 18th, 2009

The Falcons released dates and times for Russell Falcons Training Camp practices Thursday, so get the calendars ready and start making plans.

A total of 14 practices will be open to the public in Flowery Branch. Two more events — Friday Night Lights and Roam the Dome — will be open to fans on the weekend of August 7.

Both are part of Allstate All-Access Weekend, which will feature a live scrimmage at Brookwood High School (Friday Night Lights) and a practice open to all fans at the Georgia Dome (Roam the Dome).

Pretty wide open at this point. DeCoud has the edge with the system (been in it longer) but I think Moore’s strength will show itself once pads go on. Should be a good training camp battle.

Right now you have to give the top spot to Houston. He’s the most experienced at the position and has been playing it the longest. On the other side it’s a battle between Jackson, Grimes, Hutchins, Owens (to name the first round of guys). Hutchins and Jackson may have an interesting sub-battle going for the nickel spot, since it’s right in their skill set.
