Got a chance to talk with ESPN.com’s Pat Yasinskas over the last three mini camp practices and he was kind enough to give a brief interview about the state of the Birds and the rest of the NFC South.

Like most fans and members of the media, Yasinskas is keeping an eye on the Falcons defense. With rookies at every position on that side of the ball, the veteran sports reporter and blogger has been staying busy.

We spoke about the Falcons rookie class, particularly players Yasinskas thinks could contribute right away, and touched on each team in the NFC South — a division some favor the Falcons to win.

It’s early… But it’s nice.
