Six Tryout Players at Mini Camp
The Falcons brought in six players for tryouts over the course of 2009 mini camp and one of the names is familiar.
- WR Troy Bergeron
- WR Scott Mayle
- LB Rashad Bobino
- LB/FB Brian Toal
- OG Chris Jamison
- OG Ronald Thompson
Bergeron, 6-foot-2, 195 lbs., played with the Force for three seasons, totalling 328 receptions for 4,335 yards and 96 touchdowns. He was named the AFL Rookie of the Year in 2005 and was a second-team All-Arena selection in 2007.
He was signed and released by the Falcons last week.
Mayle, 5-foot-11, 182 lbs., was an undrafted free agent of the Buffalo Bills in 2007. He also spent time on the Chiefs practice squad last season. The Ohio grad had 107 collegiate receptions for 1,847 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Bobino, 5-foot-9, 228, played linebacker at Texas.
Toal joins the Falcons from Boston College where he played linebacker. His injury-plagued college career ended with 42 tackles (27 solo), 4 tackles for losses, and 2 interceptions as a senior.
Jamison, 6-foot-1, 316 lbs., grew up in Columbus, Ga. and attended Carver High School. He played left tackle at Troy.
Thompson, 6-foot-2, 320 lbs., comes to the Falcons from Abilene Christian University.

i dont know him personally but during 3 or all 4 of my high school football years, we played carver. i think i seen his name or either he pushed lil ole me around
