You Got Questions? We Got Answers

April 25th, 2009

Just finished answering some questions via Voices Heard on AF.com. I’m going to keep the widget open through draft weekend and will address your thoughts on draft picks or news that’s filtering out of New York and Flowery Branch.

Click here to take a look at the first round of answers and to ask your questions. Don’t forget to vote for the best questions because it will be tough to answer them all as the weekend moves along.

Is there any chance ATL could take Percy Harvin if he is still available in the 2nd round ? Most of the off field problems happened when he was a kid in high school. How much better could he help make our Falcons ?

Now that the draft is over, are we going to look at adding more free agents and if so who?

Has anyone heard anything about a Falcon’s interest in Leroy Hill from seattle at OLB. They took off his tag and now he is a free agent. He is also from Georgia. Will give good option at LB position

Will the Falcon be keeping Thomas Jhonson this season I think he deserves another chance in the NFL due to the past slander in TEXAS he seems to be a hard working guy and can be determained to make it in the NFL.

Hey – Love your stuff. I’m a Falcons convert and came along with Matty Ice from BC. I’m a huge football fan and between BC and the Falcons, I consider myself a pretty knowledgable Monday morning quarterback for both programs (my Dad was a football coach, etc.). On the UDFA front, there is a player named Brian Toal from BC who has yet to be picked up. He was a 5 star recruit out of high school and chose BC over Tenn and a host of other bigger name programs (his brother played at BC and his father has ties to the school as head coach of Don Bosco, the NJ football factory). Brian was Big East Rookie of the year as a freshman (back when the Big East had Miami, V-tech, etc.) but had an injury plagued 4 years at BC. But when he is healthy, there aren’t too many that are better. He has all the physical tools, played both ways (LB and RB) and would make an excellent special teams player. I understand the black mark against him with the injuries, but given how thin we are at LB, he would be a great pickup with huge upside. As reference, he had the highest vertical leap of any linebacker in the draft and his 40 times are in the 4.6/4.7 range. Any way to get this over the front office for consideration? I just don’t understand how a guy like this hasn’t been picked up, especially considering some of the other names I’ve seen on the UDFA list across the league.
