Ryan Goes to Hollywood

My wife doesn't pay as much attention to football as I do. She's a Falcons fan, but her interaction with the game usually begins and ends with: "How was your day?"

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Kelli loves the game because I love it, but she helps keep me focused on things other than yard lines and goal posts… Like entertainment.

So I was a bit surprised when she walked down stairs this morning talking about Matt Ryan.

It's the offseason… What's going on with Matt?

Turns out our worlds crossed paths.

Ryan appeared on "Last Call with Carson Daly" last night (I was on my third or fourth Super Bowl dream during the late-night broadcast but I hear he talked about football). The rookie also appeared on celebrity news site TMZ.com.

That's where Kelli found him.

Falcons fans often talk about their team's lack of national exposure and respect in the media. While I don't completely understand the whole Hollywood celebrity thing, I would think Ryan's appearance on a late-night talk show can speak volumes about his popularity.

And be a good sign for the Falcons future.

Maybe the, clean-cut, soft-spoken QB from suburban Philly has a future in pictures…
