I'm a Georgia Voter!
<img src="http://life.atlantafalcons.com/uploads/1223238849/gallery_196523_38_5416.jpg">
Just got back from early voting in Gwinnett County where my reward for being a good citizen was a 70-minute wait in line, an "I'm a Georgia Voter" sticker and the realization that I beat what's sure to be a historic rush to the polls come Nov. 4.
I'll rarely mention politics in this blog. I'll never "discuss" them. I've found football creates enough debate on its own. Why make it unfriendly by bringing up something like the government?
But I'd feel totally cold to the world if I didn't acknowledge the historic race for the White House that's clogging our information streams. We know from various message boards and an in-game poll from CNN Falcons fans have an interest in the election.
My advice to those fans is to find a way to take part in the civic process. I chose early voting. Others will choose to brave monster wait times on election day.
Makes you wonder when — or if — online voting will ever become a reality in the U.S. At least we can enjoy Pro Bowl voting from the comfort of our recliners.
Of course, you don't get a sticker for sending Falcons to the Pro Bowl.
